I'd appreciate corroboration or correction on this Empis. Year after year, it is the main pollinator of the early-blooming Allium roseum in the Sierra de Cazorla mountains, southeastern Spain, providing one of the very few instances known to me of strong dependence of one plant on an Empidid fly for pollination.
