I found this fly in the west of France, in August. Could it be a Paraplatypeza ? Is it possible to get an ID at the species level ? Thank you.

I have found this post, that shows a male very similar to my picture. Could it be the same species ?

Lindneromyia seems a good option. I am not sure if the details will allow species ID.

Thank you Smile. What are the main diffences between Lindneromyia dorsalis and Lindneromyia hungarica (both seen in France) ?

From Chandler's key. Just the males:

Head and thorax with light grey sheen. Abdomenmainly dull black with apical unbristled part of T1 bearing light grey sheen. Costa before tip of vein Sc slightly arched and vein Sc longer so that cell c is broad and nearly as long as cell sc. Anterior dc not confluent with irregular ph series; the latter and postsutural ia sparse. -> hungarica

Head and thorax dark grey brown dusted, blackish dorsally on scutum and scutellum. Abdomen with lighter dusting on apical part of T1 not strongly contrasted. Costa straight or slightly concave in cell c, which is more asymmetrical
and distinctly shorter than cell sc. Anterior dc confluent with ph series; latter and postsutural ia numerous. -> dorsalis
