Hello,

I would like to ask the ID of this Tachinidae, photographed on May 17, 2020 in Gangwon-do, South Korea.
It was sunbathing on the car hood.
Any form of help is greatly appreciated!

Specimen not collected.

Exorista? Male and female. Japanese species were reviewed by Tachi and Smima (2008), https://doi.org/1...08.00290.x

I was thinking Exoristini as well. It reminds me of Parasetigena (Phorocera, if you like) silvestris.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
