Hello,

I would like to ask the ID of this Tachinidae, photographed on May 17, 2020 in Gangwon-do, South Korea.
Maybe close to genus Eurithia?
Any form of help is greatly appreciated!

Specimen not collected.

Yes, a Panzeria = Ernestia.
I
You’d need to check the genitalia.
I found linguacercus spec. nov. in Ussuri....

but it is probably P. puparum melanopyga.

Nice!

Some article, like this one (https://doi.org/10.11646/zootaxa.4816.4.6) mention this species as "Panzeria melanopyga". Which one is eligible name?

Some authors consider melanopyga just to be a variety of puparum, it is a matter of opinion.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
