Hello,

I found this newly emerged Culicidae in a water-filled bucket in a garden. Could this be a male Culiseta longiareolata?

Date: 27.09.2020
Location: Germany, Rhineland-Palatinate, Pleitersheim (east of Bad Kreuznach)

With kind regards,
Kathrin

Yes, classic thorax pattern, and all pale leading edge to the wing.
