Struggling with this one found on the south Devon coast on 2nd September. Keyed to Helina pertusa but most seem to have orange legs. Wondering if someone could put a name to it. Thanks

You have used Fonseca's or Gregor's key?

Thank you for the Helina confirmation. I was using Genus Helina Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830. After re-keying I think this fly is Helina reversio. Hopefully this fits in with your thinking.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
