Sheer uninformed guesswork, but Stephen A. Marshall's "Flies: the natural history and diversity of Diptera" has plates of Micropezidae (p465-470) and Grallipeza might be close.
Try posting this on iNaturalist under that name, there are a handful of folk on there who might be familiar with South American species
