Hello, besides some P. hemiptera, obesa and many, many barbifrons I saw this Phasia in our garden (northwest Germany) two days ago. Because of its 6 mm size, I first took it for a female P. obesa, but after looking at the photos I'm rather sure, it is not. What could it be? A rather early female Phasia aurigera? Unfortunately it was very windy. so the photos are rather blurred. Hello, seems as if the males are already here, too. A 7-8 mm fly from yesterday (19.08.) at the same place. But the 'M' marking on the thorax is very faint. I doubt if the last was is the same specimen. But otherwise, female Ph. aurigera indeed, as you supposed. Theo Edited by Zeegers on 21-08-2020 08:27 |
