Chloropidae: Trachysiphonella scutellata (Macquart, 1835) or T. ruficeps (von Roser, 1840). Both species are abundant but very difficult to distinguish as they have a wide colour variability, variability of scutellar setae, widths of gena and length of proboscis. Larval substrate completely unknown. Sunny biotopes, dry meadows with many ants are optimal. Edited by von Tschirnhaus on 15-08-2020 12:48 |
