Hi, On Saturday evening I met this female intending to sleep on a Centaurea flowerhead bud. I see a small red spot on the base of the mid tibia, only hairs and no bristles on the underside of femur 1, and yellow marginal bristles on the scutellum - this points to Machimus rusticus. Do you agree, or are there better candidates? Locality is southwestern Germany, 20 km west of Stuttgart. Many thanks, Sundew Sundew attached the following image: [285.13Kb] |
