Ovipositioning on dead Sorbus aucuparia in eastern Jutland, Denmark. 26/06-2020. I know it is a tricky genus, but here's hoping that these photos are sufficient for an ID.
I am having some issues attaching images to the thread. The images can be seen on flickr: https://flic.kr/s...

Hi Jonas

Yes its a female Lonchaea Most of the time the specimens need to be under the microscope for ID to species level. Given the general size and shape and colour of the tarsomeres my GUESS is Lonchaea tarsata

Hi Ian,

Thank you for your reply. I will mark it down as L. cf. tarsata and try to collect a specimen should I come across it again.

Best regards,
Jonas
