SW France 3 days ago on top of a cordyline leaf, rather quiet. About 8 mm long.

The big antennas make me think it could be this tribe (Tachinidae, Exoristinae); the overall look made me think of Medina collaris, but the cell r4+5 has a short stalk that seems to be wrong for this species.

Could it be another tribe or even another sub-family ?

I think it's one of the small Tachininae like Clausicella. The subapical scutellar bristles are convergent, not typical of European Blondeliini.

Edit: I don't see the proboscis typical of Leskiini, but it still reminds me of the small Tachininae.

Excellent work, guys. Clausicella is very counter-intuitive.
