Muscidae, Neomyia cornicina from Romania

Hi, last weekend (27.october.2007) i was in a small reserve from Romania. Turda Gorges, limestone area, 500->700m. photographed in vegetation close to water edge. i think is some species of Lucillia but i don't know to go furter. small, ~7mm not succeed to collect that exemplary. thanks in advance for the help, cosmln [EDIT]: title changed cosmln attached the following image: ![]() [150.02Kb] Edited by cosmln on 31-10-2007 00:24 |

Hi Cosmin. This is Neomyia cornicina (Muscidae) - the very broad metallic green parafrontalia are a good indicator that it's not Lucilia, and the abdominal bristles are not as strong
