Hi, Here is another Otites from Baden-Wuerttemberg, 20 km west of Stuttgart. In this case I think of O. centralis, as the wing pattern is clear and rich in contrast, the subbasal crossband is well formed. Unfortunately I got no good picture of the gena width to compare it with https://diptera.i...d_id=95181. So is the wing pattern sufficiently decisive? The thorax pattern of the two flies is also different, but this is not mentioned in the key, so just variability? Thanks for any information, Sundew Sundew attached the following image:  [294.08Kb] |
