SW France. Found yesterday in a dense hedge under a gloomy sky. Does it belong to this genus ? Can we go further ? Daniel Philippe : France : STE LIVRADE SUR LOT : 47110 : 12/05/2020 Altitude : 45 m - Taille : 3 mm estimé Réf. : 256975 |

It certainly looks like a member of Chyromyidae with its brilliant eyes, and it could well be a Chyromya, but to make sure we need a close look to the arrangement of the bristles on the thorax and the number of setulae on the scutellum (compare https://diptera.i...d_id=88050). These small ones need to be examined very carefully, and to find out the species the genitals must be studied. Regards, Sundew |
