Dilophus -- r-m crossvein long, fore tibia with spines near middle. |

Males can only be identified by genitalia, but now D. febrilis is extremely abundant and femoratus will not be seen - in normal years - before may 20th. Females febrilis are unique in having strongly darkened wing. Theo |
