SW France a week ago. They were numerous in a wet area close to a river. Length about 3 mm. I think this is a female of this genus, but wonder if we can tell apart S. gibbus from S. fascipennis with this pic. Lippo attached the following image: [186.7Kb] Edited by Lippo on 30-04-2020 10:10 |

Stenochironomus fascipennis has more black at the wingtip and on the fore tibia than your fly. |
