Hello

I found this orange fly today in my garden. I expected something like Phaonia pallida at first sight but I realized that the veination and the chetotaxy is quite different. After a quick search, I found some species of the genus Pegomya that seem to be very close. For example, P. testacea (and P. prisca that isn't known in France) or P. vittigera.
What's your opinion about my fly ?

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol
