Hi!
Photo on Finland Kokkola 27 April 2020.
Is it possible to get family for that larva?
Any help to genus or species is much appreciated.

Thanks for help.

Hi Pentti, I think it's a Pachygastrinae, Stratiomyidae. Do have a dorsal view, too?

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
