Can this be ID'ed? as Eristalis similis?

In the field, I saw this male as belonging to Eristalis pertinax, so I did not pay any special attention. However, seeing the very clear wings in the photo, I subsequently got doubts whether it could rather be E. similis, and if, whether it is possible to tell for sure from this limited angle. E. pertinax is supposed to have rahter cloudy wings in Spring. From a flowering sloe S of Horsens, Denmark, yesterday 22 April.
