Location: Germany, Northrhine-Westphalia, Rheine, 35 m above sea level, garden (sandy & dry) Time: 18th April 2020 Photos: Markus Koschinsky Body size: approx. 9 mm Dear Forum, I found this insect on a wooden insect hotel, which is mostly populated by Osmia bicornis and the like. I guess it's Chrysis ignita, but I'm not an expert at all and may be completely wrong. Anybody who can confirm or correct me? Thanks, Markus Markus Koschinsky attached the following image: [47.69Kb] Edited by Markus Koschinsky on 22-04-2020 21:02 |

Thanks for your hint, Libor, I got in contact with Paolo, and he has confirmed this to be a member of the "Chrysis ignita group, which includes many similar species, difficult to id". Best regards, Markus |
