Hello,

is family Micropezidae correct here? Has anybody an idea about genus or species. (I found it in a forest near Kyoto on a wounded tree inmid many beetle species.)

Thanks,
Michael

It is Neriidae (some authors still think Neriidae is within Micropezidae). You'll find this not so common species in my Japan gallery. I liked this fly a lot. It could be found usually on tree trunks around water.

Hello Xespok,

thanks for your answer. I had not much hope, that someone knows the species. An up to this point I didn't hear of this family. So I could have search rather long.

Michael
