Basodorsal stylus (arista), 6 dc, short hind basitarsus, dorsal serration on fore tibia vote for Sympycnus. Bulging face, yellow legs with black apex of hind femur are charecteristic of the species in the Mediterraneans: Sympycnus simplicipes Becker, 1908 [F 1918]: Mitt.zool.Mus.Berlin 4: 46 ** Type locality: Spain: Canary Is., Teneriffe.
