Would it be possible to ID this fly found by a friend on 5.09.2019 in Warsaw?

Let’s start with the genus: Bellardia.

I don't think so.

Best wishes,

I see a hooked m vein, a dark anterior spiracle, a bundle of golden hairs on the lower occiput, golden parafacialia and a silvery dusted teal blue abdomen with dark marginal bands (when viewed laterally). Also the shape of the head in profile view is interesting.

I think of a similar genus, of course, i'm not an expert.

Maks, you have two fantastic dipterists in Poland: Dr. Szpila and Dr. Bystrowski. Dr. Szpila is a Calliphoridae expert endorsed by Dr. Rognes. Both Dr. Szpila and Dr. Bystrowski are very nice people.

Best wishes,
John

Thank you very much for the help and info.

John, I'm guessing you mean dr. Krzysztof Szpila and dr. Cezary Bystrowski?
