Found at Finca Las Piedras, near town of Monterrey in Madre de Dios region in southeastern Peru on 10.IX.2019. Rhopalogaster? Prey is a weevil.

Yes, Rhopalogaster sp., female. Female Rhopalogaster much more commonly seen in field than males; but latter needed (w/ genitalia) for ID. Very nice find Jeff; these usually seen only at BL during night. |

Thanks much Eric. Wish I would have spent more time trying to get pics of these. Saw several, but they were all up high and still pretty wary. I also made the mistake of not taking my 180mm lens on the trip. |
