Hi Eugene K, Themira nigricornis! Meron entirely pruinose and wide, orange genae. Probably in the vicinity of a carcass? In spring you can find them in the Netherlands on carcasses of Roe deer. Kind regards, Ectemnius |

Thank you, Ectemnius. In fact, there were no carcasses nearby. It was early spring, flies gathered on a freshly cut stump flowing out of juice. Thanks again |
