Hi, This fly was photo on may at Israel. It looks pretty primitive to me. few hairs on the thorax. and relative few veins on the wings. zcuc attached the following image: [50.53Kb] |

Yes, Calyptrate. My gut feeling says it is a Muscid, but could well be an Anthomyiid.
