Hi everyone,

attached you find a photo of an insect which I believe to be a Hymenoptera.
Unfortunately I was not able to identify it.

It was found on a sunny day a few days ago south of Munich on the edge of a small forest.
I will add two replies with more photos of the insect.

Hopefully somebody in this forum will know what it is.

Kind Regards

Thomas

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
