this rather big fly (>1cm length) repeatedly came to my arm tasting my sweat. I'm grateful for an ID
Location: lower bavaria, sparse deciduous forest, 25.05.2019

Sorry for suboptimal pics but it wasn't easy to hold the camera with one hand without scaring the fly off that sat on the other hand Wink

Yup, you can view the wing from above (dorsal side) and from beneath (ventral side).
