Hello,

does not look like Phaonia pallida. I think, this is a Pegomya species (Anthomyiidae).
Best regards,
Jürgen

One more try: I think my photo Nr. 3 looks like the picture in the Diptera Gallery https://diptera.info/photogallery.php?photo_id=9376. Is my new idea "Pegomya testacea" ok?

Seems correct!
There is however a very similar species....Pegomya prisca(Michelsen), but only known from Sweden, Czech.Rep, and Slovakia til now..
Genital preparation is needed to separate those two species.
Just save this one as Pegomya testacea (more common species)....and maybe you can collect some specimen in the future.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
