This syrfid was observed in the Belgian Hautes Fagnes (Signal de Botrange, 690 m) on September 15th. Approx 10-12 mm.
I was hesitating between Melanostoma sp and Platycheirus. However, I can't find a match for either of those. There aren't a lot of Platycheirus pictures in the gallery, btw.
Any suggestion ?
