Pupa from bird nest

Hi, I found this pupa in the nest of Robin. Among many pupas of Calliphora azurea, I found one like this. It seems the larvae went to go to pupa to someones (another fly?) body. Holenester attached the following image: [92.76Kb] |

The double row of slightly different sized spines on each segment suggests to me that the fly pupariated in a portion of Lepidoptera pupal abdomen (possibly Tortricidae), presumably a discarded prey item.

Thanks Tony but I am more interested to identify the fly (family would be enough). Any suggestions? |
