I think I have the opportunity to test myself : I think it is, and I use to call this fly Limnophora obsignata (Muscidae), which is a mediterranean species. The broad transverse black band on the scutum (as well on males and females) would be characteristic. I don't think it is any european Anthomyia species, neither Brontaea tonitrui, so it's my guess... I would be happy to heard further opinions... Stephane. |
