I photographed this Chrysotoxum near the little village of Montanaro, Piedmont (Italy) at 200 mt above sea level, on September 20th, 2016. Could it be C. festivum?

Should be ok, but it would be good to see whether the femora 1 and 2 are really completely yellow to exclude C. vernale with black femoral bases. However, in the latter the yellow stripes are straighter and not curved at their outer ends. So C. festivum!

Great thanks! Unfortunately I haven't got pictures that show the bases of femora.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
