Hello, Pierre Duhem : France : Bessans : 73480 : 04/08/2018 Altitude : 1745 m - Taille : 10-15 mm Réf. : 216750 I first thought this was Chrysopilus cristatus, but was not satisfied. After that, Eugène proposed Rhagio cingulatus. What do you think? Thanks in advance. Pierre Duhem |

Very interesting, from this altitude. The eyes are dichoptic, is that right ? If you have any more pictures, please post. And did you collect this, by any chance ? Theo |

The eyes are holoptic, after all. Males cingulatus are never so dark ( but then again, in Rhagio, you never know !), moreover, their thorax is ditinctly vittate.. i I’d say this the Rhagio lineola monticola, the very dark Alpine form . Theo |

Hello, A year later... Do you think that this specimen is dark enough to be Rhagio lineola monticola, too ? Seen on the same spot as last year.
