Found in blackbird (Turdus merula) nest, 7-10-2018, Arnhem, The Netherlands. The pharyngeal skeleton and mandibular sclerite are as described and depicted in Deeming 1998. Is there anyone with any suggestions as to how best to preserve and prepare the larvae? It is now in 70% ethanol. Edited by Ectemnius on 07-10-2018 14:30 |

Have you checked Smith's Handbook for instructions?
