Hello,

I observed this Diptera the 16th of August in Audinghen in the north of France. I think of a Tachinidae ? Maybe a Linnaemya ?

Cordially Maxime

It is a Tachinid, but I am sorry to say the picture is too unsharp to say more.

Hello,

It look like Masicera sp. but we don't see anything to confirm. We can't eliminate with certainty Pachystylum sp., Spallanziana sp., ...

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
