Last night a fly come directly to my hand. I caught it and today, when was enough light I photographed it. Viewing a recent post of Jorge Mota Almeida, I thinks than this one looks very similar to his Medina collaris. Can be a Medina? 6-7 mm long. Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain. Thanks |

Sorry to disappoint you, but it's neither Medina nor Tachinidae. Genus Stevenia, Rhinophoridae The 'Peleteria'bristles on th parafacialia are characteristic, as is the long petiole in the wing. Theo |
