More likely Cricotopus, but it might be neither genus. Keys to Orthocladiinae are written for slide-mounted males. |

If you have access to Hirvenoja's revision of the Cricotopus group you could browse drawings of color patterns. The key characters are rarely visible in photographs. Hirvenoja, Mauri. 1973. Thank you, John. Hirvenoja'revision is absolutely stunning! You were right, the key characters are rarely visible in photographs. Also, most species described therein appear to be normally larger than these specimens. Plausibly Cricotopus annulatus, but not 100% sure... Help!
