male Hylemya? I think that it looks similar to my H. vagans specimen. i think that 8.3mm is more accurate. have you examined genitalia? John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |

Hello Ray, i don't have keys to Hylemya. I only have H. vagans specimen, which i've identified via genitalia. I haven't seen Johanna for a long time now. She has keys. The genitalia needs to be dissected and cleared for better viewing. The cerci and surstyli are not visible in these photos. You will have to wait for a response from Johanna. I've tried to find keys with no luck. I only have pdf file with drawings of genitalia. sorry. I recommend leaving it Hylemya cf vagans for now.
