Hello,
South of France, 26 july 2018, about 8 - 9 mm.

Could it be a female, with a kind of "ovipositeur" to lay eggs inside the host?

Yes, that is a female and yes, that is an ovipositor. Also note the field of thorns on sternite 2 !
Female Cylindromyia auriceps.

Hi Theo, why not C. interrupta with posterior ventral edge of tergite 2 swollen and studded with little spikes ?

@Eugene: the pattern on thorax is different and there seem to be apical scutellar bristles. Females of both species have the thorns you mentioned.
