I found this beautiful fly in Saxonia, Germany, near the Elbe river, in July 2017. Is it Acrosathe annulata? Thanks for your help. Greetings, Adrian

Hi AdrianBothe, Although the bristles at the base of the hind femur are not visible, the clear longitudal stripes on the thorax, the single pair of dorso-centrals, the entirely white haired scutellum, and the habitus lead me to conclude: Male Thereva microcephala. Nice find! Greetings, Ectemnius |
