Hi,

I posted this ID request in the general forum, only identified it as a syrphid afterwards.
https://diptera.i...d_id=85216

Is it possible to determine the species?

Cheers,
Lorin

Here is a measurement of the male:
as the abdomen is bent, I would guess the length is at least 11.5 - 12 mm. The female should be slightly larger. According to Doczkal and Schmid M. analis measures between 7.5 - 11.5 mm. So my guess would be that this couple is M. miki?

Has been identified by D. Doczkal as M. devius.
