I found this larva under the bark of a maple. Please ID..

 Xylophaga species. I think the species can be identified using the plates on the first and second thoracic segment, The size and shape and fusion may be diagnostic. see photo's on the gallery https://diptera.i...lbum_id=56

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
