This wasp (Symphyta?) I found a few days ago in my garden.

Has anyone got suggestions for a positive ID?

 Yes. Could be Argidae, Arge sp, but I would need a dorsal view to confirm the shape of the antenna. There are many similar species, so species level id might be difficult.

Argidae is a very good suggestion. Unfortunally this is the only picture I have, so further ID, I guess, is out of the question.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
