Hello! Small (5-6 mm) fly from September-04 on Solidago at hedge (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Is it a Tachinid? Or perhaps a Muscid?? Also not the best (very windy), but I have tried some other angles. http://www.foto-u...a_sp_2.jpg http://www.foto-u...a_sp_3.jpg Juergen Peters attached the following image: [43.51Kb] Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Yes, I wouldn't liek to comment more. Siphona geniculata has median marginals on T1+2 and it is the commonest Siphona here in the UK but that isn't as good as a "proper" identification |
