looks like Calliphora to me. yellowish basicosta, so a male Calliphora vicina with ptilinum sac exposed (=maybe a fresh specimen?). I accidentally pressed too hard on the head of a Calliphora specimen recently and the sac popped out. I realize now that the sac coincides with the so called lunula. very interesting. John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |
