Hi bgmot, if I see it right (pic 2), the wasp seems to have a closed radial cell, so it can't be a chalcid wasp. But I don't have a glue, what else it could be, not even on superfamily level... BR, Marc (try forum.hymis.de, if you want) |

Antennae and wing venation are not clearly visible but it looks like one of the small Crabronids, such as Spilomena. |

Hi emppejay, hi bgmot, are you sure? Hasn't this beast a blue metallic shine? Or is this an artefact from the surrounding? I've never seen a crabronid with metallic luster (although this doesn't mean, that it's not existing...) Nice wasp anyway Marc |
