Hi,

last night i have collected two small fly (who looked more strangely).
this is one... please consider this to be also an experiment.

this i really don't know where to put it. to me looks a little like a simuliid (but...).
size ~3mm, collected at light last night (29.august.2007), hilly area around 650m.

thanks in advance,
cosmln

I think you're right. Its a simuliid, probably one of the more primitive genera.

yes, believe me i know
manny hundred of bites from there... and the worst was one extremely small. little more than 1mm. don't hurt when bite but after couple of hours you just scratch and scratch...
