Hello,
is this orange fly a Chrysopilus laetus?
Found in the end of July in Germany in a Park near a small river.
Thanks, Marion

Thank you for confirmation, Theo.
I have found the fly on the outskirts of Chemnitz (TK25 5243, Thalheim) in Saxony.
Best regards,
Marion

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol
